  • How do I get added to Latch? I don't want to be locked out!

All residents should have received an email regarding setup last month. If you haven’t, please email Gary at elywalkermaintenance@gmail.com or call the 24/7 hotline at 314-231-2711.

  • How do I get set up in the GroupMe?

    Please follow this invite link.
    https://groupme.com/join_group/86732795/CxAvuTLq
To be approved, you will need to provide your unit # and name. (Don’t worry, we only use this to verify you live in the building. We are resident-led and will not save your personal and private information).

    GroupMe rules:
Please be truthful, thoughtful, and respectful to all neighbors.
Please utilize DMs for individual conversations.

If there is an emergency, please call 911 FIRST before notifying other tenants in the GroupMe.

  • I'm moving in - how does this work?

If you are a tenant, your landlord should direct you to Gary Sextro. All residents need to schedule a time on the weekend to move-in through Gary. They will take a $200 deposit in case of damage to the freight elevator. That deposit will be refunded upon retrieval of the freight elevator and double door keys.
Your truck will need to be parked in the back alley, and there will need to be a person monitoring the doors as you move in at all times. Please do not allow anyone without a FOB to enter the building.

  • Where do I park?

If a parking spot was not included in your lease or sale, then you do not have a parking spot. You will need to obtain one on your own.

    Basement Garage:

-Each spot is individually owned and assigned
-Renters will need to speak to CityWide/landlord about joining a waitlist for a spot if not already assigned one
-Garage door openers are required for entry/exit
-Garage door opener codes can change and you will need to speak with Gary about receiving it and how to change them

    Terra Cotta garage
-Some individual unit owners own space(s) in the Terra Cotta Garage
-Citywide owns some spaces in the Terra Cotta Garage that they rent out
-Other spaces are owned by residents of The Annex and Terra Cotta Condominiums

If you do not own or rent a space in either of these locations, you cannot park there and will be in jeopardy of being towed.

  • My packages keep getting stolen!

This is an ongoing issue here at Ely Walker due to a lack of security and oversight of management. Please sign up for the Luxer Locker system:
    www.luxerone.com

However, there seems to be issues with the locker system as well, and packages are not always delivered there.
We have asked management to fix the security cameras in the mail room. Please document what packages you expected at what time, between what times it was stolen or opened, and the cost of the package. You can forward this information to management at elywalkermaintenance@gmail.com.

Otherwise, be sure in insure all packages. You can file claims through your carrier service or make police reports. Some residents have packages delivered elsewhere, like the Amazon locker a few blocks away.

  • HELP! THERE'S AN EMERGENCY!

    Please call 911.

  • There's someone in the building that shouldn't be here/party on the roof/I'm worried about a neighbor

Please call the building’s 24/7 hotline first: 314-231-2711

If they do not pick up:

    Police non-emergency line: (314) 231-1212

If it is an emergency, PLEASE call 911 first before doing anything else.

  • Aren't we supposed to have security?

Yes, and no….. In order to deter criminals, we will not be putting those information on this website. If you have questions, feel free to ask a neighbor.

The hours and times were distributed via letter from management, slid under all residents’ doors. If you do not see security during those hours, PLEASE document when you didn’t see them. Take videos, photos, etc.

  • How do people get text alerts of safety issues on our block?

Please sign up for Lookout STL!
    http://lookoutstl.com/

  • There is so much....trash. Where does it go?

Trash rooms are located on the opposite side of the stairwell entrance on each floor - near the elevators.

TRASH MUST GO DOWN THE CHUTE. You cannot leave it in the trash room - we will get roaches. Please keep your neighbors in mind.

Nothing bigger than a kitchen trash bag will fit - it is expensive to fix a clogged trash chute.

Anything too large for the trash chute will need to be taken directly to the dumpsters that are located in the alley behind the building near the back door.

Our janitorial staff works far too hard for far too little to be grabbing trash floor by floor. Please do your due diligence in your community, and keep our spaces clean.
